About the Author
Steven L. McShane is Winthrop Professor of Management at the University of Western Australia (UWA) Business School, where he receives high teaching ratings from students in Perth, Singapore, Manila, and other cities where UWA offers its programs. He previously taught in the business faculties at Simon Fraser University and Queen’s University in Canada. Steve has conducted executive programs with Nokia, TÜV-SÜD, Wesfarmers Group, Main Roads WA, McGraw-Hill, ALCOA World Alumina Australia, and many other organizations. He is also a popular visiting speaker, having given numerous invited presentations over the past four years to faculty and students in the United States, China, India, Canada, the Philippines, Malaysia, and other countries. Steve earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in organizational behavior, human resource management, and labor relations. He also holds a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto, and an undergraduate degree from Queen’s University in Canada. Steve is a past President of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (the Canadian equivalent of the Academy of Management) and Director of Graduate Programs in the business faculty at Simon Fraser University. Along with coauthoring Organizational Behavior, Sixth Edition, Steve is coauthor of M: Organizational Behavior (2012) with Mary Ann Von Glinow; Organisational Behaviour on the Pacific Rim, Third Edition (2010) with Mara Olekahns (University of Melbourne) and Tony Travaglione (Curtin University); and Canadian Organizational Behaviour, Eighth Edition (2013) with Sandra Steen (University of Regina). Steve is also coauthor of editions or translations of his organizational behavior book in China, India, Quebec, Taiwan, and Brazil. Steve has published several dozen articles and conference papers on workplace values, training transfer, organizational learning, exit-voice-loyalty, employee socialization, wrongful dismissal, media bias in business magazines, ad diverse topics. Steve enjoys spending his leisure time swimming, body board surfing, canoeing, skiing, and traveling with his wife and two daughters.

This text book is very informative and every notion of organizational behavior is well defined with real life examples. It is a great source for active learning.

Very good and easy reading. Material is easy to understand and the chapters are all very informative and relevant. Had to get for a management class and it served its purpose
Textbooks are a big expense in our educational system. This one has been in publication for several years (same edition) and is available at a lot of prices. I found a highly rated seller with a NEW one in the low 30s. I always pay for expedited shipping because USPS book rate can take a month to arrive. Still the book arrived new and fast -- in time for the first day of my wife's class. She is quite happy about that.
I rented this text book during a semester at college. It was very useful and informative. It was laid out really nicely and it was easy to remain focus on the reading. I got a B in the class as my professor forgot to erase the answers off of the study guide and he used it for the final because he didn't have enough time to make one. hahaha
Great book
I liked this textbook because it was easy to understand. There were alot of good examples and the language was very straight forward, it wasn't filled with technical terms (unless they were defined). I think that it was overpriced, especially for the Kindle version. I bought the hardback so that I could recoup some of my costs at the end of the semester but I would have preferred a cheaper Kindle version to begin with.
