I just took the T8 exam two hours ago, so this is a up-to-date rating of this study material. The book is printed in 2013, there have been many changes in the industry since this time and are reflected on the T8 ASE exam. This book fails to cover DEF and SCR systems which is on the exam. I wouldn't use this manual alone to study and pass the T8 ASE exam, you will fail. For my next ASE cert I will try MotorAge Training, they offer a money-back guarantee on their course materials if you fail. Good luck with this series.
Didn't work for me. The book is detailed, comes with a task list for study. However, I think tabination and pagination could be better, also more graphics to help understand topics and inspection parts would help. I gave it to a co-worker
This is a great tool to help you prepare for the ASE test. I have no regrets about purchasing it. It will prove to be what I need to do well. Note that no test prep book will ever be a substitute for knowing how to do the work that's tested by ASE. This book, along with its other test prep books for other truck systems, helps in getting ready for the test format and some of the material you may encounter. This is the 6th edition, which is the most recent, I think.
Reasonably accurate. Could use an update and there were some things on the test that this book didn't touch.
I like the multiple tests you don't get with the motor age books but sometimes feel the author of each book forms the questions around his own way of doing things, so if you get a missed question you need to see why. Lot of times it was the author's slant and way of his own diagnostics that led to the answer. The man knows his stuff, but there is more than one way to diagnose things and things are subject to interpretation. For those planning to take this test its worth reading for sure.

did not cover enough material to pass the ase test for pmi. waste of money.
I think delmar makes the best books, some of the ase questions are almost word for word.
