A lonely beach ball sets the stage for this book. It has been patiently waiting for summer since last year. And, finally, the day has arrived when a little boy comes to get it and off they go to the beach!A truly delightful book which will entertain your little ones and keep their attention. The drawings are bright and colorful and well-done. The author recommends it for ages 3 - 6 and P - 1.I really appreciate the fact that the children will be able to enjoy looking at a number of familiar sights on a beach. There are sand castles, a game of beach volleyball, a sea gull, sea otter, a crab and of course, a snack hut. I also thought the plane flying overhead with an advertisement was so typical.In addition, the text rhymes which enhances the reading for the little ones. When I was younger (many years ago), I loved books that had rhymes in them. The author has also placed 3 hidden objects in the text. When done, the little ones can go back through the text and see if they can find them. And, the answers are at the end of the book.All in all, just an outstanding book for the little ones in your family.Most highly recommended.
As I read this to my 3 year-old grandson, I make 'bouncy' noises, which he loves! A perfect book for summer!
