A quick read, good for those who don't have time to delve deep into many of the other books that have been produced by and about the 3G guys. I was able to finish this while flying for work--read half on the plane there and half on the way back. Some really good basic principles.
Very good overview of the 3G way. The author gives a succinct history of the trio and then does an excellent job of framing their approach to managing the businesses that they have acquired over the years. He has adequately footnoted and referenced additional materials for the business reader who wants to go deeper on particular areas of interest.
First chapters are gonna bore you a little bit but after that there are things gets better. There are a lot of interested hints for those managers who think about business and profits. Excellent to understand the a successful business in the long term
I decided to buy the book after I read that Snapchat CEO was handing out copies to his senior executives (http://dealbreaker.com/2015/11/brozillionaire-evan-spiegel-is-apparently-quite-taken-with-brazillionaire-jorge-lemann/). Great book!! It's short, easy to read, and gives you a good idea of the management culture behind 3G. Definitely worth buying and reading it.
Wouldn't recommend this book if you're actually hoping to understand 3G's investment strategy or management principles. This book essentially paraphrases a bunch of annual statement quotes without adding a lot of additional insight into their strategy. Second, there are many issues with the printing -- many empty pages, weird spacing. It is as though the company that published the book failed to proofread their own work. Very disappointing purchase.
A great summary of the 3G Way. In essence 150 pages of structured notes on what makes the 3G partners so successful. A lot of valuable quotes and references to further reading material. Five stars.
